Enlighten Beauty & Therapy Training 
At Enlighten we are entitled to reserve the right to train other training providers or their employees/freelance trainers.

This is to ensure our intellectual property is not taken and reused.

We also state that if we do agree to train other freelance trainers or their training providers, they will be asked to sign an agreement, stating that they will not advertise or train anyone in the specified course for a six month period and that they will not use any item of our intellectual property at any time. 

This is a serious offence.


Terms and Conditions

Section 1: Course Booking

All PAYMENTS are strictly NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE. If you cannot attend a training day then you must give us advance notification of at least 72 hours.

Where at least 72 hours’ notice is given: - In cases such as this you will not receive a refund, however you will be offered the option to reschedule your training.

**In this instance a £30 administration fee is charged PER DATE OF TRAINING POSTPONED & RESCHEDULED.

Where less than 72 hours’ notice is given: -

**In this event, an administration fee of £45 will be charged for each postponed and rescheduled training day or days. You will appreciate that late notification will leave our tutor with vacant diary dates that cannot be immediately filled.

In exceptional circumstances, and at the discretion of Enlighten, certain late postponement notices will not result in the loss of course fees. Examples of such circumstances include medical reasons-

    • ● we insist that an official doctor’s letter, ‘fit to work’ certificate or official hospital letter is presented to us before we reserve a future training date

    • If the reason is COVID related we will need to see evidence of your positive result on the NHS app. If you do not have this as evidence then your training day will not be rebooked

Note: If suitable evidence is received we regret that the above discretionary exceptional circumstances can only be applied once . If subsequent planned course dates are again postponed, we reserve the right to retain all monies paid regardless of the amount of prior notice given.

Places on courses can only be guaranteed if the booking payment has been received. ALL BOOKING AND FINAL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-EXCHANGEABLE.

All practical courses must be booked in advance and booking payment paid at the time of booking. Once you pay the booking payment the training date is secured and the outstanding amount is required at least 2 weeks prior to the course date.

**If final payment is not received at least 2 weeks before the training day then training will be postponed and a charge of £45 will be applied before rebooking. Please ensure you keep your booking confirmation as this gives you the final payment date. Your emailed invoice from Quickbooks also gives you the final payment date. It is your responsibility to remember these details, as we cannot chase payments moving forward from receipt of this email.

As we teach on a 1-2-1 basis you will be responsible for supplying your own model/s to work on and demonstrate the practical skills during the course.

If your client needs a patch test, this needs to be completed by visiting the training venue at least 48 hours prior to the training day. Please contact your named trainer to make an appointment to do so.

It is your responsibility as a student to remember these details, as we cannot chase patch tests moving forward from receipt of this email 
Failure of the student to book a patch test or your model to attend for a patch test at least 48 hours before the training day will result in postponement of the training date and a £30 administration fee will be charged PER DATE OF TRAINING POSTPONED & RESCHEDULED

The prices shown on the website at the time of booking are the prices you will be charged. If these are changed at any time, they will be updated on the website immediately.

We reserve the right to decline students for valid reasons such as health issues or patch test reactions or if there is seen to be a conflict of interest such as working for another training provider.

If you do not hear from us then please check your Junk or Spam folder. If you still cannot find it after that then please email paula@enlightenbeautyandtherapytraining.co.uk and we can re-send any emails you didn’t receive. We will not be held responsible for students not receiving emails and not contacting us about this issue.

Under no circumstances do we allow children to attend our training venues.

All our venues have a no smoking policy on site and within the grounds.

Sometimes case studies are required to show competence in your chosen course

The number of case studies will be decided by your trainer and discussed with you. Certification will take place when all case studies have been submitted and seen by your trainer and deemed competent.

There is a 2 month time limit on these for completion. Failure to complete in the allocated time may incur an additional charge for reassessment by your trainer.

All courses have a 1 year completion date, unless stated on the course website page. Failure to complete within this time frame will mean the course fees are lost.

**If you cannot secure a model for your training day, we will do our best to. However, we cannot be held responsible if the  model fails to arrive for the practical training. This is why it is in your best interest to secure your own model**


  It is the learners responsibility to check with their insurer whether they will be covered for any course before they make the booking payment


Section 2: Cancelling or Postponement

Please note that ALL BOOKING AND FINAL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-EXCHANGEABLE.

If a tutor postpones for any reason, illness, bereavement etc they will notify you as soon as they are aware of the need to postpone and reschedule your training day/s. They will reschedule your training as soon as possible to accommodate your requirements and theirs.

Once courses are booked, and if you decide to cancel your training, please note ALL BOOKING AND FINAL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-EXCHANGEABLE.


Section 3: Change of course

Once a course is booked, the admin process begins immediately. If you then decide you want to change the course you wish to do there will be an admin charge of £45 per course that is to be changed.


Section 4: Complaints

If you have a complaint about any aspect of your training please contact us in the first instance. Any complaint regarding the quality of training/venue will be rectified promptly with our help. Any refund is at the discretion of Enlighten less the deposit paid. Issues around the manual to be referred to paula@enlightenbeautyandtherapytraining.co.uk


Section 5: Copyright

Enlighten Beauty and Therapy Training reserves the rights in the design, text, graphics, images and course material, handouts and website. All materials, handouts, workbooks and other literature supplied by us must not be copied or used in any way. All materials are copyright to Enlighten and MUST NOT be reproduced in any form. Some images for the website have been purchased from a stock company so they hold the copyright.

Taking an image from the site which is owned by a stock company is breaching copyright laws. Theft of intellectual property is taken very seriously. Please do not copy any of the information.

Stock companies are embedding images with codes that their spy bots can seek and find online, anyone found using images that they do not hold the licence for will be sent settlement demands and perhaps taken to court.

We reserve the right to change the course contents, materials, tutors, training dates/days, price, venue and course requirements.


Section 6: Certification

If your tutor does not have your certificate ready for you on the day then we will send it directly to your allocated address from the Head Office. We allow 7 to 10 working days for this. Your certificate will be sent much faster if you complete the booking form attached to your initial confirmation email.

Certificates can be replaced. There is a fee of £30 per certificate to cover the cost of reprinting, postage and searching for the student database for information. Payment is made at the time or ordering your certificate. Certificates will say "duplicate" on them. This applies to all certificates.


Section 7: At the Venue and on the training day

If students do not attend on the day of the course, or they are unreasonably late (30 minutes or more, they will lose the full course fee and their training will be cancelled). We reserve the right to refuse to teach any student who is rudely late to their training session at the start or in returning from lunch.

Enlighten Beauty and Therapy Training takes no responsibilities for any valuables, possessions or vehicles whilst you are on our premises.

All students must act and behave appropriately and not undertake any act that would bring dishonour to the Enlighten Beauty and Therapy Training, as this could result in the student being asked to leave the training session with loss of fee.

The students must be dressed appropriately for ALL courses, we do not expect you to wear a therapy uniform, but please be clean and presentable.

Mobile phones must be switched off or placed on silent in the training rooms at all times.

As part of our service to provide excellent customer service we operate an equal opportunities policy. Students will not experience discrimination on any counts.

Enlighten Beauty and Therapy Training will not tolerate physical or verbal abuse to any educator at any time. Nor will we tolerate any sexism, ageism or racism or any type of discrimination of any sorts.

We will also not tolerate bullying of other students and reserve the right to ask offenders to leave the course. This will incur a loss of the course fee.
 
All student and client information is kept confidential - see our compliance with the GDPR (May 2018).


Section 8: Conflict of interest

We reserve the right to decline students for valid reasons if there is seen to be a conflict of interest such as working for another training provider.

If we agree to train a student who works for another training provider or is starting their own training establishment in the near future, the following must be adhered to:

You must not:

● Use any of our intellectual property such as booking forms, manuals etc. This is a copyright breach and action will be taken

● Use this qualification to teach others within a 9 month period of your completion of the course

● Open or work for another training establishment within a 9 month period of completion of the course

Allocated course time

Unless specified on the chosen course page, all courses have a time allowance of 1 year from booking.
